Sherry and I attended school together since I was a 2nd grader and she was in the 3rd. Yes. She’s 9 months older. We didn’t have much to do with each other back then, and only fell in love after we’d both gone off to and come home from college.

We married in 1971, and have one child, Sam, who’s completing his doctorate at U. Houston.
